Setup and configuration are used almost as one word, but they are two steps that are required to prepare Intel AMT for use. A series of SHA certificates are implemented. TLS is disabled by default under manual provisioning. It can be re-enabled later by changing AMT configurations and must be enabled during configuration. The local platform clock will be used until the network time is remotely set. An automatic configuration will not be successful unless the network time was set and this can only be done after configuring TLS or Kerberos.
