Administrator privileges are required to install dsl
An administrator can set the AlwaysInstallElevated policy for both per-user and per-machine installations. This method can open a computer to a security risk, because when this policy is set, a non-administrator user can run installations with elevated privileges and access secure locations on the computer, such as the SystemFolder or the HKLM registry key. If the application is installed per-machine while the AlwaysInstallElevated policy is set, the product is treated as managed. In this case, the application can still perform a repair with elevated privileges if the policy is removed.
Also, if the application is installed per-user while the AlwaysInstallElevated policy is set, the application is unable to perform a repair if the policy is removed. An administrator can go to a user's computer and do a per-machine installation of the application. Because privileges are required to perform this type of installation, per-machine installations are always managed.
Hi All, I just built a fresh Win10 machine. When I try to install MS Office from a click-to-run installer, i get an error message with this title: Administrative Privileges Required what's strange is when I right-click on the installer and choose "run as administrator, I never get the UAC, but the same error message simply pops up.
Any ideas what might be going on? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question Report abuse.

In reply to DaveM's post on October 13, Hi Dave, thanks for your response. Yes you're right that I own the game, my difficulty is with trying to install it. If I go to the Library as you suggest and click on "Install" I just get an error that looks like this: I'm not sure if this is the same issue or whether I've now progressed to the next bug in the store.
Right-click on the wsreset option and select Run as Administrator. When Windows Store window opens, it means that the cache has been reset. Reopen Windows Store and try to download required files. Click OK to execute the command. Now find the folder named Cache. Right-click it and select Rename.
