I created a manual restore point and did a full backup to an external drive using Acronis. Once that completed, I did a reboot which worked.

However, several hours later, USB drives were not recognized missing driver and a reboot failed inaccessible boot device. Did a system restore using the manual one that I created. System boots fine.

After a while, USB drives are not being recognized again. I'm baffled! We need to do further investigation so that we can identify the cause of the issue. Is this happening on a specific USB drive? Please try to use other USB drives and see if it has the same issue. As for the inaccessible boot device problem, I've found lots of posts about it being related to a January update that was released. I haven't had time to try any of the solutions in those posts.

I don't know if the problems are related or not.
