Students will move their bodies and experience different cultures, histories of dance and fun moves. Drama Kids Mr. John Guyer Grades 1 - 5 Period 6: — Session A Students will come together to learn whole scenes, rehearse and put on a live show.

This class is great for the natural born performer or the child who might be on the shy side but has an itch to step outside their comfort zone and hone their inner actor. This class will culminate with a live play performance.

Guitar Mr. John Guyer Grades 1 - 5 Period 6: — Session B Students will use classical guitars combined with iPad technology to learn how to play a basic guitar, and record their own musical pieces.

Weekly seventh and eighth grade elective class that discusses all things literature: favorite books, latest publishing trends, and reviewing new releases. Librarians and students alike share their favorite books, a beloved classic or an exciting new title. Books could be fiction or non-fiction, reading for pleasure or for an assignment. Hodgins Library collaborates with teachers throughout all grade levels, providing support in student research, thematic book displays, school database review, and lessons in composing reports and presentations.

Every Friday, students stop for 20 minutes and read. During this time the sixth graders pair up with Kindergarten, a program known as K-Pals.
